Advanced Dental Technology

At Burien Dental, we are proud to be one of the most technologically advanced dental offices in Puget Sound and the Pacific Northwest. Our cutting-edge equipment allows us to provide the most precise, efficient, and comfortable care possible.

State-of-the-Art 3D Digital Lab

As part of our commitment to advanced general dentistry, we utilize the SprintRay in-house 3D digital lab, which significantly reduces the time between appointments. This advanced system allows us to create high-quality dental restorations right in our office, eliminating long wait times and ensuring you receive the best possible care in fewer visits.

Advanced 3D Imaging & Scanning Technology

We’ve invested in the latest technology to deliver precise and predictable results:

CEREC Omnicam

A high-resolution, full-color intraoral scanner that captures highly accurate digital impressions for crowns, bridges, and veneers—without traditional goopy impressions.

CEREC Omnicam scanner, a high-tech dental imaging system used for digital impressions and same-day restorations, featuring a sleek, mobile design with an integrated touchscreen.

CEREC Milling Machine

This machine allows us to design and fabricate same-day dental restorations, eliminating the need for multiple visits, an essential benefit for those needing emergency dental care.

CEREC MC X milling machine, an advanced dental device used for precise, same-day fabrication of crowns, veneers, and other restorations, offering efficient and accurate in-office milling.

Dexis CBCT/Pano Machine

A cutting-edge 3D imaging system that provides detailed scans of your teeth, jaw, and surrounding structures. This is essential for precise implant placement, TMJ evaluations, and diagnosing complex dental conditions with incredible accuracy.

DEXIS OP 3D Pro Cone Beam, a high-resolution 3D dental imaging system for precise diagnostics and treatment planning.

Cone Beam Imaging (Dexis CBCT)

This advanced imaging technology provides a detailed 3D view of your oral structures, allowing for more precise diagnostics and treatment planning.

Digital X-Rays & Intraoral Cameras

Dexis All-Digital X-Rays

Our advanced digital system reduces radiation exposure by 80–90% compared to traditional X-rays. Instead of film, an electronic sensor instantly captures and stores images on a computer, allowing us to enlarge and examine them in detail to better diagnose and treat any issues.

Why Dental X-Rays Matter

X-rays play a crucial role in detecting hidden problems that might not be visible during a regular exam, such as abscesses, cysts, bone loss, tumors, decay between teeth, or other developmental abnormalities. Finding these issues early can save time, money, and discomfort, and help preserve your teeth.

Safety Measures

Though digital X-rays produce minimal radiation, we take every precaution—like using lead aprons and taking images only when necessary—to further reduce exposure. We also properly dispose of all waste to protect both patient health and the environment.

Frequency of X-Rays

The need for X-rays depends on your individual dental health. A full set is typically recommended for new patients every three to five years. Bitewing X-rays—showing how the top and bottom teeth fit together—are usually taken once or twice a year during regular checkups to detect new concerns.

Panoramic X-Rays

Also called Panorex®, panoramic X-rays provide a wraparound view of your entire mouth, including the jaw, sinus areas, and nasal structures. They’re particularly helpful for identifying impacted teeth, planning implant placement, or evaluating conditions that may not be visible in bitewing X-rays. Because the film is located outside the mouth, these scans are often more comfortable for patients with a strong gag reflex.

MouthWatch Intraoral Cameras

These high-resolution cameras allow us to capture detailed images inside your mouth, giving you a close-up view of any areas of concern and helping us explain treatment options more clearly.

iTero: No More Messy Impressions

We use the iTero scanner, which allows faster, more comfortable, and more precise digital scanning. Thus, you won’t have to endure messy, uncomfortable impression trays.

It provides a preview of your future smile, allowing you to see the potential outcome of clear aligner therapy before starting treatment.

And the best part? Unlimited scans are included for all our patients—at no extra charge! Whether you’re tracking the progress of your treatment or monitoring changes in your dental health over the years, these scans give you a measurable and accurate way to maintain your smile.

At Burien Dental, our commitment to technology means better results, fewer visits, and an exceptional patient experience. See the difference!
